FRAKTUR is designed by Alexander Lervik, multi-award-winning designer with extensive experience in 3D-printing, notably created a 3D-printed replica of his own brain. For Fraktur, Lervik aimed for contrast, experimenting with cubist shapes to produce a visually stimulating lamp. The challanging shape is 3D-printed in sand. The matte sand absorbs light, enhancing the lamp’s contrast. The light it emits serves as ambient lighting. With its shape and size, FRAKTUR becomes a centerpiece that enhances any room. It can also be integrated as a part of the interior in hotel lounges, private homes, conference rooms, church halls, or conservatories. The possibilities are numerous.
The technique used is additive manufacturing, also called 3D printing. It is a computer-controlled process that creates three dimensional objects by depositing the material in layers.
