At Reform Design Lab, we merge bold, sculptural design with cutting-edge technology to shape a more sustainable world. Through a global network of 3D print labs, we produce locally, reducing waste and emissions — all while using renewable, circular materials. This lamp is a testament to that vision. Grown from nature and crafted through the poetry of innovation, it is 3D printed using a PLA-based filament made from wood fibers and plant starch. The result is a tactile, biodegradable object that honors the earth it came from — and will one day return to. Softly illuminating its surroundings with a 7-watt, 30-lumen glow, the lamp offers more than just light. It offers a glimpse into a future where design is mindful, materials are cyclical, and beauty leaves no trace but inspiration. Let’s reform the future - one layer at a time. The technique used is additive manufacturing, also called 3D printing. It is a computer-controlled process that creates three dimensional objects by depositing the material in layers. The software and blueprints are cloud based and the chair can be manufactured on demand, in whichever print lab that carries a big enough printer. We only work with certified and environmentally aware material suppliers. This chair is made from KCL FORMI 3D : a sustainable and versatile material. It consists of wood fiber based biocomposites.
